Somehow I missed International Beer Day (probably because in my house every day is International Beer Day), but this is an interesting chart. There’s certainly no way to argue that the deregulation of the beer industry hasn’t had a net positive effect on the craft. You know the crappy half of the beer aisle in the grocery store that has your Buds, your Coors and your Millers? Well, that’s all there was in 1979. That whole other half with New Belgium and Deschutes and Fish Tale? You can thank Jimmy Carter for that.
